"Not all candies are created equal.
Have any doubts? Just ask any child trick-or-treating this Halloween — like 12-year-old Makenna Otto of St. Cloud.
"I like Tootsie Pops because of their insides. I don't like to get the little mints — the blue ones," said Otto, a seventh-grader who plans to dress up like Cleopatra on Tuesday.
According to the National Confectioners Association, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Snickers, Hershey's, M&M's and Kit Kat were the most wanted treats based on last year's sales.
Paige Klug, a 7-year-old from the little town of South Haven, is in the second grade, but she has already learned that some candies are better — or more welcomed — than others."
So what were your favorite candies when you were little and Halloween came around. I loved the little Reese's Miniatures as well as the small square shape Snickers candies. I wasn't too fond of Tootsie Rolls or the candy corn. I think the best part was when me and my friends would sit down the next day and see what everyone had and trade some of the candy we had. Someone might lke something I didn't like and vice versa so we would trade. Good times.
